Resonance Program Description Birds also use their air sacs as chambers to make the sounds they produce more resonant. Some even use their air sacs to make the sounds on their own. Program & Recording Notes The recordings of both the blue grouse and sage grouse are from the CD collection Bird Songs of California produced by the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology. The cellist is Pablo Casals, playing J. S. Bach's Suite No. 1 for Unaccompanied Cello.
