Internal Duets - Cowbird

The brown-headed cowbird alternates syllables between the left and right branches of its syrinx.

The basic recording of the brown-headed cowbird can be found on the CD accompanying Donald Kroodsma's wonderful book The Singing Life of Birds.
I slowed the cowbird's song using Bias Peak and separated the left and right channels using Bias Deck.
I highly recommend watching the online multimedia animation of the syrinx of a cowbird: Suthers Lab Animations of the Syrinx
